Just getting home and comfortable from another Christmas Eve spent with my family. This year as I had stated in my previous blog has been difficult. However, I woke up this morning reminding myself I am thankful.
Thankful for a family that has always been there for me, for us. Thankful I have a family.....period....I am reminded some do not have that. I am thankful for friends. Some of my friends I have had for years and cherish that they have been there through the tough and stayed. Some of my friends have been in the background for a few years, some very recent, but over this past year are friends that I can not imagine mine or my kids life with out them. I am thankful for the relationships that ended throughout this year. No that was not meant to be mean. It was just meant as it is. I am thankful for those relationships to show me that everything can come to an end and to cherish every moment. I am thankful for my kids....they teach me new things every day. Christmas is not about the gifts. It's about appreciating the gifts you have in front of you. Christmas is about giving a peice of yourself to your loved ones. It's a time to remember the ones who were a present to you who are no longer physically here. It is a time to love each and every person who has touched your life. Take this Christmas to appreciate all you have. You will find happiness in this. And that is a gift in itself. Merry Christmas my friends!
